Don't Live in Fear - Being Free From Stalkers and All That Unwanted Attention

It's usually a very flattering thing to have a secret admirer. Those moments when you find chocolates or pretty jewelry on your desk and you start receiving inspirational messages on your cellular phone brings a lot of butterflies and sweet thoughts to your mind. Sometimes the suspense is overwhelming and you find yourself thinking out love just who Prince Charming really is.

But sometimes, reality just gets the better of you. The person who may have been sending you all those nice things may not exactly be a person you'd really consider dating. Or you may already have a boyfriend or life partner and really can't go out with this new guy no matter how much you want them. And maybe you're really finding all the attention to be really freaky. Some admirers just get too close for comfort and start doing really scary things like stalking or things that border on sexual harassment. When that time comes, you know its time to put your foot down and do something about it.

Some harassers can be so mysterious that you could months into the guessing game and he or she may not have revealed his or her identity. And when that happens it would be best to ignore all of the attention. No harm in ignoring someone you don't know, right? But if the person has made himself or herself known, it's a totally different situation. Of course the best course of action would be to deny that person in a nice way. Brushing someone off like that can hurt but of course that person put a lot of effort into trying to make you feel happy. So turning him or her down nicely is the best policy, because it makes you both look good.

But sometimes an admirer is so persistent and so obsessed that he or she develops the mentality that if he or she can't have you, nobody can. And when he starts filling his notes with personal information, and starts blackmailing you, it's probably time to inform the authorities about this person. You don't deserve that kind of treatment... From anyone.

There are a lot of ways to deter all those unwanted admirers in your life. For more tips, go to: http://www.howtogetridofstuff.com/people/how-to-get-rid-of-an-unwanted-admirer/
